in our caves of separance
we follow stones left by the other
to small things growing in the dark:
rootless lianas
we lick the salt off the walls
as if to melt the difference,
but in sleep
crawl to corners:
magnets repelled by a wholeness alike;
a sister pull to some unwritten realm
where we would find ourselves
in halves
and bow our heads into the mandala of
fire and water
we follow stones left by the other
to small things growing in the dark:
rootless lianas
we lick the salt off the walls
as if to melt the difference,
but in sleep
crawl to corners:
magnets repelled by a wholeness alike;
a sister pull to some unwritten realm
where we would find ourselves
in halves
and bow our heads into the mandala of
fire and water
