Nice to meet you Andy78. Welcome to the site. A few good places to get acquainted with the community are the "general literature" forum and the "general chat" forum. See you around.

Welcome!

I'm reading an interesting mystery called Nefertiti by Nick Drake. It is set in ancient Egypt. A Medjay (a police detective in ancient Egypt) is investigating the disappearance of Nefertiti.

I liked many of the movies based on James Patterson's book. I've only read one by him--The Murder of King Tut. I am really interested in that time period in Ancient Egypt, as you can see.

Welcome to litnet, Andy! I love Melville and Lovecraft too. My personal favorite Lovecraft story is At the Mountains of Madness, although the Dunwich Horror is great too. :D

I hope you have fun here!

Hi Andy!
Mmmh if you like Tolkien, try Tad Williams, or Markus Heitz. (I do not really know, if his works have been translated into English yet.)

Glasgow? Oh, I haven't been there for a while, I should write it on my list for my autumn holidays.
Have fun here!
