Insomania

2 A.M.
I lay down on
a solid, neat, smooth floor
walking solitary caves
sages have told us--drool
then walk straight into realities.
Last five hours
I have been trying that
of no avail.
I predict this night
would not last forever
soon it’s power would be history,
what I could not avail
would possibly no longer prevail.
Now, let me scavenge new bricks
the wall bound to fall
sooner or later
bemused as I am, I tend to seek
shelter in unmingled tricks.
