Like beads of sweat down the flush world rolling,
We pico-islands of
salt and heat,
come as we
go as we
come:
thirsty

Geez how spoilt I am this morning. I love short poems, simple poems.
I loved this one especially, water water.. what else can be better than water, well a lot actually but water is right up with the best of them.
Yes we are thirsty for more.......

WATER!! WATERRR!!! :willy_nilly:
Water is all!
Oceans of it outside us and in us. And isn't it mysterious how even fire can't singe it? It's entirely willing, and yet cannot be destroyed.
Oh me - water!

A masterpiece in the use of economy! 23 words - a poem!

And thirsty we'll remain: for simple poems, for clear timbre of Lady Subtlety whom you seem to have lent your voice, for moments caught in their very fragility, which is sometimes power..
Thanks lumière, Bar

The poem is excellent. I just wonder why you have titled it "To Hunt"?

Bar - I thank you!
And may I say: POETIC COMMENT WIN!
J.D. Sparks, (I hope this is your pen name, because it's an excellent one), I've sworn off explaining my poetry, so my lips are sealed.
Thanks for reading, JD!

A poem evoking the fear of global drought and thirst - but also I am reminded of our tenuous hold on the land and the oceans; both have changed position relative to each other so many times during geological history.
I'm not sure that was what you had in mind but it certainly made me reach for a glass of cool, clear water and thank my lucky stars.
