Compromises

In a swoon of doubt,
strange shadows walk to a
purposeful destination
there is so much we can do there;
we do nothing
our shadows vie incessantly with us,
disarming us completely
of our real raison d’etre:
the mist,
in it’s infancy
but not clambered as yet.
This mist opens a new world-
a new mind
that wavers between
questions yet to be posed
and answers yet to come
life wears a black veil
we remove
on life being dead:
not amenable to compromises.
