Hey everyone  I'm your newest member...until someone makes an account.
So a bit about myself, I'm a young (teenage) novice at writing who recently decided to take up a creative writing course. As to what compelled me, I can't really fathom it myself, but I've found that I've grown to like writing a lot.
I generally write short stories. Recently I've had to write quite a few short stories for my course and I've had the urge to share them and have them critiqued.
Growing up, I wasn't read Dr. Seuss or any of those Little Golden Books; rather I had my start with Agatha Christie and Edward Gorey.

I kind of see writing as a friend that I lost touch with as a child and a friend I'd like to get back in touch with as an adult.

Once again, hello everyone.

Welcome!

I became impassioned about writing when we had to do themes in elementary school. I was the only kid that liked them. The other kids wrote one paragraph, I'd write fourteen pages. The first theme I ever wrote was "If I were a balloon." It was about a balloon that enjoyed trick-or-treating and going to a Madonna concert.

Death Comes at the End and A Pocket Full of Rye are my favorite Agatha Christie books.

You can share your stories in the Short Stories forum. I've also started a short story game in the Forum Games called Can You? (continue the story)
