John Sandford was born John Camp on February 23, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended the public schools in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Washington High School in 1962. He then spent four years at the University of Iowa, graduating with a bachelor's degree in American Studies in 1966.

The protagonists are smart and the story kept me interested the entire time. I love how the criminals are portrayed in all his novels. Sandford's dialogue is hilarious and will have you laughing and smiling.

Great editing this time around. Nothing that wanted me to rip my eyes out.

As usual, all the characters all have depth. Even the robbers/murderers are given personalities. You tend to feel for every character, even if they're a bad guy.

So give it a try. 4.5/5
