When we were younger,
I was always jealous of you,
I thought your life was perfect,
If only i knew.

What made you do it?
What was so bad?
You should of told me everything,
Why you were so sad.

You always seemed so happy,
Never in despair,
Suicide is like a disease,
But only, not so rare.

If i knew it would effect you,
Id live everyday like the last,
But I'm here reminiscing,
All the days in the past.

I wish you would of talked to me,
I could of made it stop,
But you didn't say anything,
It just pushed you over the top.

I walk into my room at night,
And see you lying there,
With an empty bottle of pills beside you,
With your empty, dead stare.

I have nightmares every night now,
I doubt they'll ever go away,
I don't know what made you do it,
If only you could say.

SB - a very poignant poem. And expressed in such a gentle, almost childlike way.

This is well written and deserves to be seen by more forum members.
Unfortunately most of us who post comments on poetry rarely look in this section (I just happened to be passing by).

If you want other poets to comment on your work - go to the
Writing - Personal Poetry
forum and post a new thread there.
You will hopefully get more feedback there - and don't be nervous, most of us don't bite.

Good effort, and thanks for sharing.

PS - one little pet-hate -http://www.online-literature.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=903&pictureid=6940

the correct expression is 'should / could / would have' not 'should /could / would of'

Very sad...but powerful.

You should share it in the Poetry forum.

I don't care if the glass is half full or half empty, I'm just glad to have a glass.^_^
