View Full Version : Ambient Energy

Suppose a woman were affected
by the heat of a man’s eyes
on any particular part of her body?
At times her breasts would light up
like neon mini-Kilimanjaros, her buttocks
would sear the cloth that barely
covered them.
Could this exchange
of ambient energy
be harnessed to light our way
to love or truth?

I had to smile when I read this quirky little poem, Prince..... and especially how cleverly you covered your back with the final line.
Gives new meaning to the idea of 'the blushing bride' - and so much less unsightly than those wind farms that blight the landscape.

Delightful little poem, but it wouldnt work as women dont like it when men undress them with their eyes. lol, perhaps the ambient energy could lead to lust tho. lol. I hope I'm not being offensive, its not my intent. Its very well written.

Ah, My Prince, the sexual chemistry of bioluminescence. Put it in a bottle and market it and your fortune is assured! The trafic lights at the pedestrian crossing of the soul. Wouldn't they make life easier? Nice clear signals, to cross or not to cross...
I loved this elegent piece of fun. H

I love your imagination but it frightens me to think that we women are so biologically transparent and this is how we are defined. Nevertheless, my cheeks went pink reading it!!!

I sympathize with your mortification. I've often wondered, with dread, what it must be like to be a woman under the glare of lustful male eyes.

Hehe, another excellent piece, Prince. I love how it moves from the "supposed" energy generated from lust to pondering if it could be transformed into love (and truth).

this line made me laugh out loud
At times her breasts would light up

Its an interesting and very creative thought, and a lusty one at that with a bit of sophistication at the end. personally, I'd leave the sophistication out of it, but that's just me I suppose.
Fun, interesting, and sexy. Happy you had the intrepidity to post it.

"Intrepidity" is right, as I had all sorts of misgivings that it might be seen as a sexist, macho poem, which it assuredly not intended to be.

In fact it is very true that ambienc can have an effect on both man and woman in defferent degrees and in that light the poet’s mental picture is insuperably painted. This is the primal fact. In fact we kind of choose to masquerade ourselves and in reailty and basically we are unchanged in our real natural states. The poet has wonderfdully woven this truth into a beautiful poem
