Is there anyone interested in discussion "Twice" by Christina Rossetti. I have always been partial to that poem, along with a few of John Donne's poems.

I am not sure if I have read this particular poem of hers, but in general I like her work so I would be up for a discussion.

Yes, I want to discuss it. I read it only after your post but I find it fascinating for some reason.
Rebuked by man she gives herself half-heartedly to God?
Rebuked by man she finds strength in God and, through him, in herself?

Stanza 1: She declares herself to a man against the time's mores.
Stanza 2: She is put off but bears it well. Since then she has been unhappy.
Stanza 3: She offers herself to God's judgement. She claims she is without fault.
Stanza 4: She asks God to recognize the lover's guilt and to inure her to love and worldly concerns.
Stanza 5: She takes control of her own heart. She will not die over the lover. She will live for God. But she will not do so whole-heartedly.

What's your take?
