I'm very interested in teaching and learning using IT. The concensus of opinion in educationalists in the UK is that it does.
What is your view of IT in the classroom?

I think that in this day and age you need to use IT in the classroom as it is such a big part of life now, I don't think that there is any getting away from that. I also think that it can improve learning certainly. I mean even if it is used for research purposes or to use online dictionaries it is useful or even just creating articles on the likes of Publisher, but the use of IT can be used much more creatively using interactive software and the like. It can be incorporated into a wide variety of tasks more easily than you first might expect too. I would stress though that it needs to be used as an aid to learning, a tool, and it shouldn't replace other 'grass root' approaches.
