are extra credit really necessary in class?
because i find it annoying,.
i hate class giving extra credit,.
'coz those extra credit do not help in studies,..
it's just for adding points,.

I only ever had one class that offered an extra credit option. It was a science psychology course, and to get the extra grades you had to stand up in front of the class and teach them something. Sounds easy, except that the class had four hundred people in it. Soooo not worth it.

Once, in a histology class a student asked a question about hair colour and the professors answer was that he didn't know and had the student prepare a 20 minute power-point presentation for the next class answering the question, and it wasn't for extra credit.

Not necessary, just extra. Like cherries on a cake or post production on a punk rock album.
