I'm not a big fan of "cosmic coincidences" and the such, but, while thinking today, I realized that 3 people who I am a huge fan of all have the same first name. David Milch, David Gray, and Dave Letterman.

I mean I put these guys at the very top of my list becasue each of them faces the truth of life and human nature right down to the bone - and it is reflected in their art. (kind of like Mark Twain did, in my opinion)

The fact that they are all named David kind of blew my mind today. Thank God I am a Bruce Springsteen and Garth Ennis fan - or I might be totally off the rails today

I find that I like people named David (I'm dating one). I also like people named Alex and Dillon (Dylans are cool too). I tend to dislike Ryans, Mikeys and girls with "K" sounding names (Karlie, Kayla, Kyla, etc.). I also dislike "Linseys." Coincidence? I think not. Parents who are attracted to certain names might just be the type to raise their kids to be douchebags. Who knows? There's a graduate student thesis in there somewhere.
