Is it good to publish your book online in the process of writing?

I voted 'maybe no' because I'm paranoid and don't dare to publish my stuff online, even though I don't think I could write anything worthy of being published yet, the ideas could well be stolen..

This is a great poll, i am saying Maybe yes because you can get feedback to improve it which might help with publication. The key phrase here is "In the writing process," which is not the same as publishing the entire final draft on line. The idea can be stolen, but it is illegal to steal your words, especially for publication.
