View Full Version : On a Rainy Summer Night

A windy night in the city.
The trees nod with the warm wind.
'Yes! Yes! Free!
Free at last!'
The moon shines knowingly,
and blushingly hides
her pre-dawn glow
behind a veil
of scattered clouds.

Hi Pryderi,

I quite like this but is there intentional irony in the title? The title says it's a rainy summer night, but you have written a opem about the wind... :)

A nicely drawn image of one moment in time - ad I don't find the title a distraction. It reads more like a brief overture to the lines that follow.

You have a deft touch.....

It seems to me more like a PRELUDE to a rainy summer night, but very delicately rendered. It's quite lovely.
