I haven't finished it, but Finnegans Wake is very, very strange.

'Inverted World' by Christopher Priest (who also wrote 'The Prestige' - filmed in 2006).
The premise behind the story is very clever and questions all our concepts regarding reality and how our perceptions work.

hmmm I believe my pick would have to be The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat, that book was quite strange.
