Maybe I am more of a masochist when it comes to my characters, but I tend to find growth in loss. If I were writing this story, I would have had something happen to the owl at the end. However, the mechanic and rhyme worked well, in my opinion.

Otherwise, it was purty good.

I enjoyed this and of course something does happen to the owl...he eats! To emphasize this (if you feel you need to) just mention a bit more about the obvious fact he never eats the ones he's guarding, or that he's tempted to. But only if you feel it's necessary. It was so enjoyable, this story was.
Keep posting Remi and I'll keep an eye open.

oooo, this was a fabulous tale with a poetic flair. Excellent job. Got to dash now so I shall read your other story later.. if Steve enjoyed it I am sure I will too.
