I love writing, but I'll admit that I'm the queen of starting stories, getting about 150 pages in, and then I just quit making time to write. I've more plot lines than I know what to do with, but I can't seem to make the time to write these days. I can't seem to find the time in a day to spend more than 10 minutes jotting down ideas.

How do you find the time to write when you have a full time job that isn't writing, kids, family, and all the other things in life? Do you have any tips for carving out an hour to spend writing each day?

It's so very difficult to juggle career, family and writing.

The key I suppose is setting up a routine - every night between 22.00 and 23.00 or every morning between 06.00 and 07.00 (or whatever time suits your personal situation) set an hour aside for writing. Make sure everyone in the house knows this rule - DO NOT DISTURB ME.

Better still - find a little corner where you can be left in peace (tree-house, station-wagon, coffee shop - whatever suits).

But the main thing - don't give up. And don't give yourself excuses to give up.....

Good luck.
