Not a song, not a movie, not a TV show...just 6 seconds of a flashing graphic with accompanying theme. But if ever there was a stimulus to launch an overwhelming, all-encompassing Pavlovian response of delirious expectation and spasmodic joy in my pea-sized brain, this would be it.

I can't forget to mention my love of any and all movies created by John Hughes.

Perhaps that "reserve" was too much for those you listed.
Their talent had to break free!

Wow! That brings back some memories.
I don’t recall the ice cream making qualities, but I can tell you it was not a good ramp jumper!

Courtship of Eddy's Father was one of my favorites, along with Family Affair, Dark Shadows (the Soap Opera with vampires, werewolves and other ghosts and beasties) Truth or Consequences (especially when they reunited couples where the husband was in the service and they hadn't seen each other in a while) and the first run of Star Trek.
Do you remember Queen for a Day, I was very young, but I remember being so embarrassed for those women and couldn't understand why they would tell their sad, sad stories to everyone.
