Can we call Rosencrantz and Guildernstern are dead an existential work

I just read the play by Tom Stoppard, and i have to say i noticed some slightly existential themes. However is it right to call the play an existential work, what do you guys think.

Also I watched the movie version with Gary Oldman and Tim Roth, did any of you guys prefer the movie to the play.
