Which's your favorite word? The one you like to use again and again? In virtual world and real world?

In particular, I like to write 'awesum' (yes awesum spelled that way). For me, every good thing is awesum, not splendid or magnificient, but simply awesum. Also, I use 'wonder' a lot. I wonder why though. :D

But that's online. In real world, I don't have any such prejudices. Or well, not or long at least. They vary periodically.

Anyways, enough about me. I wonder which is your favorite word? ;)

Basorexia -- An overwhelming desire to neck or kiss.
I wonder how many on Litnet have this desire. lol. I learned from a guy who I really liked a lot.

Aestivation - also known as "summer sleep", is a state of animal dormancy somewhat similar to hibernation.

Summer

Desolate

Aporia - in philosophy, a philosophical puzzle or state of puzzlement, and, in rhetoric, a rhetorically useful expression of doubt.

there's more I'll think of later.

I like this word also. It could be dirty but it's just a fruit and everyone always acts like you're not quite right if you change the q and u into other letters and say something besides kumquat. I don't know how this fruit got it's name but I like to think some perv named the fruit for the reason I just mentioned.

My favorite word of the moment though is egregious.

Antidisestablishmentarianism.

Love that! Here's my current favorite word, which unfortunately I don't get to use very often. uvulopalatopharyngoplasty

I don't think I could get through a day without the words "bloody" and "bugger" - they just have so much use!

I probably over use the words "sodding" and "pillock".

My favourite sounding word is "perspicuity" spoken in a North Preston accent.

Indubitably!
That is my very favorite word to use in a sentence. Several people have noticed it too.
Words make me happy, but that particular word makes smile on the outside too.

I've always had a thing for the word "chicken" (not so much the animal, in either a pet or food capacity... just the word). Sometimes when someone says it aloud I'm caught saying "ch-ch-ch-chicken-k-k-chicken-chicken-n-n" under my breath.

^Lush is a lovely word

I love the word Katana. Yes, the sword. I think I learned it from a video game I played with my brothers when I was younger. Feel how your tongue lightly flicks off your front teeth. It just rolls right off!

I've got some dreadfully small, dull words I've used obsessively at times, and some words I've made up. But lately I've been using Nefarious and Recalcitrant. Negative, I guess.

:iagree:

My favourite word has been 'awkward' since I was in grade prep.

These days I also like the words revelation, ice-cream and bottle.

I'm reminded of a thing I saw on TV a while ago - I think it was QI - where someone challenged Stephen Fry to make the audience laugh with a single word. With great gravitas he stood up, faced the audience, and slowly pronounced the word "moist." The audience howled!

I use the word 'epic' a lot these days. I don't necessarily love it, but it has sort of stuck.

I plan on going back to using words like thou, hath, art(are), etc.

lol. There are times when old english just comes most natural to me. It gives me a strange feeling of security when I'm uncomfortable, and yet comfortable with the person I am conversing with.

Don't worry - I don't go up to a store clerk and say, "I pray thee, how much doth this cost?" (Ok, that's a really bad attempt at such an example.) But I sometimes speak that way at home or with close friends. I think it seems rather natural because I was reared reading the King James Bible much more than the average person.
