Fickle Lady Luck

Some days I am more fortunate than any other.
Other day I dont know why I bother.
Fickle lady luck always moves with the tide.
I realy wish she would stay at my side.

What do you hope will come of such a poem?
Are you saying anything new about luck?

Please, and here's my kind advice, write about
someone else, or no one at all.

DO NOT write about a concept.

Get you out of the poem.

Quarantine the I for a time.

Your pleas are all cliche, tired and worn
out by repetition.

But, again, as I said five minutes ago,
I am being stomped upon for advising and
instruction and teaching and being honest.

No one should stomp on you. Criticism good if its constructive, which yours is, and believe it or not there are those who do learn from your input even tho they might not write poems... yet, you might inspire them. :biggrin5:
