oh yes!!!! I love the stolen child! did you hear musical presentation of the poem? It is performed by Loreena McKennitt, awesome! Celtic music reflects the ambiance of the poem very well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7TkyxVIfuk here is the link! enjoy!
by the way i have a predilection for his poems relating to Irish folclore and faery tradition, that's really awe-inspiring! As regards his works teeming with political references i can recommend "Easter 1916" and his play "Cathleen ni Hoolihan".

"When you are old and nodding by the fire" ... Actually, I'm not sure if that's the title, but the opening lines.

I really like No Second Troy. I'm fairly new to his work though.

That would be a bit like choosing the very best strawberry out of a bowl of perfect strawberries. "The Second Coming" comes quickly to mind, though, and "Among School-children" from which I have quoted in a poem of mine about Yeats:

The Second Coming is by leaps and bounds my favorite over all other works of Yeats. I still read it and shudder.

I don't have one particular favorite, but I like this one, "Who Goes with Fergus," about a king in Irish folklore who abdicates his throne to live the life of a wanderer. It was also James Joyce's favorite poem, and is in his novel Ulysses.

The lake isle of Innisfree.

I can really identify with that first line, sometimes you just want to drop everything and walk off.

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree.
