I was wondering if anyone could help me with my search for an online writers workshop that is also free. What I'm looking for is a small, private group that takes turns critiquing the work of other members. Does anyone have experience with this?
I would like for the site to be password protected because so many of the small magazines have stipulations that the work you submit must be unpublished work that has not been posted anywhere on the web, even a personal home page.
I would also love to find a group that uses web cams and voice to make it more like the actual creative writing class experience, however I know that may not be possible. I've searched using Google and also this site and all of the sites that I found charge a lot of money. I know that certain universities offer free, non-credit courses via the web but I couldn't find anything for creative writing beyond some documentation to read, a sort of course outline. I am seeking the actual dynamic experience of a classroom or workshop.
