Is anyone else a fan of this wonderful book by Paramahansa Yogananda? I just finished it and it really helped expand my mind. I would recommend it to anyone interested in spirituality or the mystical traditions of India.

I had read most of it a few months ago but I still had about 150 pages to go. I picked it up again recently and finished it just a few days ago. It's not the easiest book to get through, but well worth it.

Before reading Autobiography of a Yogi, I had read a pamphlet by Yogananda entitled How to Be Victorous in Life, part of his How-to-Live Series. I was going through a really rough time and it helped me tremendously. I still read it from time to time.

It sounds like an interesting text. I've always wanted to find a way into a greater understanding of Eastern religions. I'll put this title in my list.

I have read it. It is a wonderful book and can be a book of reference if anyone wants to have a way to eastern philosophy this book will be a roadmap. Autobiography of a yogi has simplified esoteric eastern philosophy since a westerner cannot comprehend the intricacy of it. But what you have got in your hand is a drop and the ocean is yet to be explored. If you really want to read eastern thought it is the Mahabharata, and the Gita is an extract from it. But unfortunately you cannot find the Mahabharata in translations in full. Eastern books are always underrated by the west. If appropriately or justifiably rated they will outshine all the Greek philosophical tradition. Max Muller has done some considerable works. This is not a preconceived idea I have but since I have gone thru both eastern and western ideologies voluminously I make this analogy in point of fact and the post here inspired me to write these words but never with a motive to hurt others' beliefs. I am not advocating beliefs but only books.
