Of course such women are found in some parts of the world. Having read some Victorian novels, particularly of the Bronte sisters, George Eliot and the like I have some impressions that the women of this era were somewhat chaste, loyal and took sexual characteristics rather seriously. Bodily pleasures or carnal desires were taken as lower or baser instincts and indeed repressive measures were taken or the women of the era were taught or guided by their elders to maintain chastity as much as they could. Sex was more for procreation and less for pleasure. Those who loved abstinence were commended and those who were lustful were looked down. Even some women chose not to share beds with their husbands.

Today still some of the societies in the world have women having similar bents of minds I want here all to discuss here sharing how the idea changed and now intercourse is less for procreation and more for seeking pleasures
