Destructive bodies to ignorantly burn
A hole in souls as large as the ocean.
Emotionless beings crush the face of man
And watch with eyes still dry.
Lock them in an environment so cold
And pile the lifeless carelessly.
Waves of hungry push and shove
Craving the bitter sweet taste of blood.
Polluting lungs with dust so dry
Watch the pink turns shades of gray.
Dug deep inside the tainted soil
We fall and are covered by time
And there, mankind is sheltered.

This is almost makes me think of a poem honoring the loss of those from the Holocast, or some kind of genocide. It's very dark.

Lovely, I do really like this; I'm sure others will have more detailed comments, but it conjures up for me a vivid picture of the story you're telling and the emotions it evoked.
