I am doing a paper on Mcbeth and word usage. I need to try to find a sentance in the book with the word night in it and describe it in mcbeths context. i need a 5 paragraph paper on one word and im completely lost can anyone help...?

Once you find the sentence and have studied it, the rest is easy.

First paragraph: quote the line as your attention-getter, identify who says it and in what scene, then in a concise thesis sentence, describe your main point. For example, "In this instance Macbeth uses the word night as a symbol for his evil thoughts."

Second paragraph: provide a description of what has occurred in the play before the scene that includes the line takes place.

Third paragraph: provide a description of the scene in which the line is given.

Fourth paragraph: explain and defend your interpretation of the line using analytical thinking and examples from the text.

Fifth paragraph: make a general statement about the use of language in Macbeth and then restate your thesis using vivid language. For example, you could begin the conclusion: "Shakespeare is famous for describing a character's inner life through the use of powerful language."
