los silencios que te esperan

1. pablo

i wish i could write neruda poems full of sex
and metaphor but i dont deliver
ideas in lyrically economic spanish and i
dont live anywhere like santiago chicagos short
on mountains and frothy seas and a lady
has never inspired me to write any words but these

2. i guess we ll just disrobe silently

if i say talk to me i dont mean say something
meaningless i mean say something real whatever
it is you actually feel i dont get you
but ill never need to either i suppose
because youre hundreds of miles away
and the only activity we ever shared
very well was the taking off of clothes

Wonderful, both as a tribute to Neruda and to the seemingly unattainable woman as well.

all I can say is...
"holy _____".
WHAT wonderful poems! There is something so familiar about your line breaks, the arbitrary pauses and breaths...and the topics are so crisp and breathtaking.

please keep sharing! please!

JBrower, I feel the same way about Pablo Neruda. Giuseppe Mazzini said it best in describing some poets, "Poetry is enthusiasm with wings on fire."

How about this title, "I Crave Your Mouth, Your Voice, Your Hair"? Thank you for sharing.

This is the meat of a neat little short story if you cared to work it up. Beautiful image and so delicately drawn and colored in for us. How much of a present moment is packed into these lines! That last verse is brave and the most affecting of the whole
