Revolte

(An old poem of mine, revised.)

In chains we kneel, to all we see
While fire burns in all our dreams,
In hopes we take, one step back
And pray our masters keep on track.

We cry for ourselves and to our friends
But do nothing to ease the lives of ten,
We scream for change, while standing still
As victory ponders “to whom is the will?”

Bodies rot from expensive wounds
While we just wish upon our moon,
For peace and justice, for love and kind
With each of our souls so bitter and blind.

Its not up to the masters, its all for the slaves
To take back this world that's angered and paved,
And the streets they weep, for us to soon find
That revolution's a dream, but acting's divine.

So stop all your worry and take to your feet
Brake system's grasp and travel all steep,
For when we awaken, as one and as all
It's then we can live, not large and not small.

Such an energy in your poem! though: what about the means? How to stop the system's grasp, and - do you really believe we can awaken all and united? and if yes, study the disillusion of the Soviet Russia, after the revolution... the former slaves became the fiercest oppressors... I believe more in the power of education, of intercultural dialogue, or, like Ghandi, in non violent, steady focus on freedom... in tiny little building stones... if in anything. But it's great to have an ideal and then to use the energy to build something.

I wish I could say there was any known means of obtaining the goal. Truth is I have no idea how, so far no revolution has ever proven a success. At the end of the day everything is still the same, perhaps a new face here and there, but other then that little has changed.

do I think we can coexist with one another? Most definitly, its not so much a matter of if, but how. At least thats what I tell myself every day I wake up haha.
