Short script I'm starting, just need some early feedback.
I'm messing around with the layout and just making it what seems interesting to watch, its basically about a man who wakes up on a beach and it follows his past.
Really gray sky and weather cold, slightly breezy and waves flowing.
BEACH
TIME-DAY
Max is wearing a white shirt with collar undone, and with black trousers.
Max is sleeping on the beach feet facing the sea, the waves are running further up his body starting with his feet. Hear the wind blowing and waves bashing against each other. See the water slowly run up his body covering the sand his lying on turning it a lighter brown colour. It gets closer and closer to his head and when it does he wakes up quietly, eyes opening first then starts to lift himself up with his palms on the sand, his looking around curiously.
He stays there for a moment looking around, the winds blowing his hair as he does.
He stands up and looks around more, theres nothing in sight just miles of beach, then he walks away from the waves. He stumbles backwards and falls to the floor, he then looks in his back pocket and sees his wallet. He opens it and looks at a picture of a lady smiling around his age, he then looks at a driving license with his picture on it and his name, Max Stone.
APARTMENT
TIME-NIGHT
See the front door open and see a lady carrying in a drunk Max.
She carries him over to the chair and puts him down.
Ruth ''Why do you always have to show me up.''
Max ''I'm sorry'' laughing ''I just got carried away.. Its the first time we've had a good night out in ages.''
Ruth pulls off his shoes
OUTSIDE
TIME-NIGHT
Really heavy rain, hear a car door slam see Ruth sitting in the drivers seat crying.
See Max after slamming the door, now walking off.
Ruth opens her door and stands at the car.
Ruth ''Max wait ! please don't go like this, just get in the car we can talk !'' she yells
Max walks on in the rain.
BEACH
TIME-DAY
Max sits there looking out to the sea. He throws the picture down on the sand and the sea takes it.
BEACH
TIME-SUMMERS DAY
See Max and Ruth on beach laughing then Ruth rolls on top of Max and kisses him.
Max gets up and sits with one hand on sand.
Max ''Ruth.. We've been together nearly a year and its been the best year of my life, you mean everything to me and I want each year of the rest of my life like this year.''
Ruth looking more serious.
Max takes out a ring.
Max ''Will you marry me.''
APARTMENT
TIME-NIGHT
Max walks in and slams the door. He walks over to the chair and sits down, still dripping from the rain. He looks upset then walks to the kitchen and grabs a bottle of whiskey and a glass he takes a sip from it then leans down the fridge and sits on the fall crying.
