May I interest you with a cup of tea?
Say I to infiltrate her face of heat.
Well the weather is lovely,
The birds fly in duality.
The warming yellow of the grain
The chilly pearl of the sky.
Now that we’re walking,
I can barely stand your assailing eyes.
Well now the fleet holds
Captives the bandits,
With a flag of glory.
We walk on the newly stone-paved street,
Step onto a horse carriage that carries_______
Do you wanna grab a cup of coffee?
I say with airplanes above me
Although since long ago, you are six feet underneath.

Wow, that turnabout at the end is a real thump on the chest!

This poem reminds me of "the love song of J.Alfred" the need to be with somebody , the sad ending, hope mixed with disappointment

You have captured well the sadness that permeates a life after a loss. I particularly like this:

"I can barely stand your assailing eyes"

but the whole thing is lovely.
