One of Many

I am one of many
Traveling thru this world,
Searching for a life
That is full of giving light.
I often visit from star
To star and always wonder
What they are made of.

I never find an answer
I just meander around;
Looking not to be
One of the many
But a special one
Picked out of the crowd.

I find there are no answers
To what we all seek;
There is only a wait,
Maybe a pause
as we hold our breaths
And clench our teeth.
In the search that life
Will make our dreams
Into reality.
