Here's a sister thread to it's slightly more depressing counterpart... What is your heavenly virtue?

Personally, I've had people say mine is hope... usually this is true, I am forever hopeful that things will turn out okay if I work on them long enough...

I usually don't like talking about my "virtues" since they make me feel self-important and egotistical, but I would suppose that my main virtue is love and charity and I try my best to love everyone and to be patient and kind towards everyone.

same here.
grrr, I tried to pick two but only realized after voting that you can only choose one. I meant to go for "Hope" and "Restraint and Temperance". The latter one is certainly not one of my 'heavenly virtues' but something I am constantly working on.

Mine is love and charity , choosing this choice doesn't decrease the importance of the others ; it's just the closest to me.

true .

That is definitely so you Miss T. :)

I could have picked them all, though I know, I can get ticked off easily. But I do love you all. I wound up picking prudence, only because with age comes a level of wisdom and lately that feels to fit my life the most.

I picked hope, I don't think I have any heavenly virtues but hope seems closest to me..

Hmm... I don't know what mine would be, but I figure that...
1. Maryd's is love.
2. BeccaT's is justice.
3. Bien's is temporance/faith.
4. Daniel's is love.
5. Something tells me that Schere is pretty good with prudence.
6. Babbalanja- Justice
7. Heathcliff - courage
8. Pip - courage.
9. Virgil - Justice
10. TheDave - Justice

The Comedian's greatest virtues aren't on the list.

It's easier to define other people's virtues than it is our own. What do you guys think? What are the virtues of fellow litnetters?

4. Daniel's is love.

Awww, yours is undoubtably courage, definitely

I said courage, which seems horribly egotistical, but I intended it to be more towards the fortitude side. Still egotistical, but more accurate.

Faith. I'm bursting with it. Faith in people, faith in God, faith in humanity.

Justice and hope, I'd say. I picked justice.

Not sure what my virtue is (if I have any) really... Looking at the options given, not sure any fits.
5. Something tells me that Schere is pretty good with prudence. Does that make me "prudent" or a "prude"?

:p

Ha! You're studying to be a lawyer. :D

I am beginning to think maybe "restraint" is the one for me... Patience.

*takes a cleansing deep breath and chants her mantra to herself*

I'm calm and collected... I'm calm and collected... I'm calm and collected.

Naah, prudent because you probably get a lot of information (being a moderator) and yet you're so discreet about it.

Virtues are overrated! You don't need them!

Anyhow, I'd say it's temperance for me - I drink only in moderate amounts - if I have too much I'll fall asleep or miss the bloody glass so I can't drink any more.
If that isn't moderation/temperance, I don't know what is.

8. Pip - courage.

Haha, thank you, though I think I'm quite the coward ;)

I agree with Daniel that courage fits you well.

I changed my mind about yours... Daniel's right, I love how you just calmly explain your point no matter how pointless it might seem.

"No, actually the earth is older than seven thousand years, and here's why..." followed by a well-thought-out and detailed point-by-point explanation.

Then when you get a response that's something akin to "nuh uh!" you do not throw your computer across the room. I think yours is restraint.

I chose Restraint/Temperance in the poll but I would also have to say that Justice and having a sense of fair play figures strongly.

Love and Charity is what i had chosen. What i was thinking along the lines of and what my lovely boyfriend said is more like me. :)
