Hi, i need someone analyze this poem i wrote .
It needs to be at least 150 words.
Can someone please help me out.
Here is the poem

Down at the Beach

Down at the beach
The waves trying and trying to reach out
A man grabbing at the sand
Like it is a shovel, only it is his hand

Down at the Beach
The sand sticking to everybody like Glue
With the Blue watery ocean in view
Sand here, sand there,
The sand is everywhere

Down at the Beach
The lifeguards watch over
The seagulls hovering around and around
People lying on the sand, people in the water
and maybe some call for help

Down at the Beach
The flags are standing tall and proud
Like soldiers at a Funeral
As they will lye
Down at the beach

You're probably better off posting this under the 'Personal Poetry' section of the forum, where people's own work is discussed.

I think it would help if you could provide a commentary on the poem, stating your intentions in writing it and whether you think you have been successful in achieving them. This will help give others something to respond to; and also, if this is an academic exercise, the 150+ words need to be your own.

You could discuss: why you chose the subject matter, with particular reference to the conclusion of the poem; why you used an irregular stanza form and rhyme scheme; what guided the irregular sentence lengths; diction, metaphors and similes used; why you repeated the 'Down at the Beach' refrain, and so on.

Hope that helps.
