Im confused...what happend with the money?

He has none, but then says you dont ask me where I get it, and there are questions he wants to ask her but doesnt...about money or just in general? then she yells at him? No offense but its kinda the integral part of the story and its a bit buffudling, or maybe I am just a bit daft today.
