A gentleman of sporting bent
Took up his pen and wrote
With all due care and prior thought
A carefully structured note

He aimed, you see, to find a mate
Specific were his needs
The perfect one he hoped to date
Agreeing with his creeds

Wanted, heiress, fair and sleek
Clever, loyal and naughty
A nymphomaniac I seek
‘Twixt twenty-five and forty

Must have grouse-moor on the hills
No anti-hunt types snooping
For nothing my blood better thrills
Than to see a falcon stooping

He paused a moment, scratched his pate
As he wanted to be sure
Then took up pen again to state
Send photograph of moor

Nice humour in the turnaround at the end and so deftly handled throughout. Thanks.

Thanks, PM I'm glad it tickled you. Afraid I don't seem to be able to manage anything metaphysical or soulful at the moment. Had a go with Vimy Ridge but don't feel I pulled it off. Would appreciate a really serious critique of it to be honest.
