Beneath the roof that sags
we experiment our talent,
there is nothing in it, really nothing.
Don’t build castles in the air.
Like floating clouds
good, old times are gone, for good
it’s time to succumb
to do the needful----say adieu to talent.
In the meanwhile will sail
a genius’s strangeness, elusiveness
you ask for proof
there is no proof for heavenly bliss
genius comes from chance.
Yours not a polite query-
it’s a virgin’s greatest dilemma
beloveds too can have evils
castles no longer evilless shelters.

Hmmm, can't say I entirely get this one. At first I interpreted it as a piece about creative genius being wasted or, at least, being forced to switch to the bare necessities of everyday life. But there are some really odd lines that frustrates any definite reading like the virgin metaphor. The twisted syntax is also often confusing; especially "Yours not a polite querry" and the last line. I do love the "good, old times are gone, for good", if only for the balanced bookends of the word "good" and how they contrast in meaning.
