I was surfing the Net and accidentally viewed this lovely forum. Since I like reading and writing literature, I thought why not? So, here I am.

Hi! I'm sure that there's a place for you! I've just joined too and it's my birthday today:-)))! I like your name - I lived in Greece for twenty years and was an English teacher there. I hope we both find these forums enjoyable and educational and inspiring! ;-)

Your blog format is the same as "Beyond Assumptions" run by someone called Eric"

Coincidence?

Thank you and happy birthday or should I say "χρόνια πολλά" ? It's interesting that you have lived in Greece for so long. Where have you been teaching? Keep in touch!!!

My blog format is a fixed template, provided by Wordpress. I don't think though that the form is more essential than the content. So, how did you like my stories?

Ha Ha Ha
And there is me intrigued with all sorts of "nom de plume" conspiracy theories!
Before I could copy the blog address, the long arm of the Law descended, removed it & I did not get a chance to revisit.

Σ'ευχαριστώ πολύ! Μιλάς ελληνικά; (Thank you very much! Do you speak Greek?)

I taught English in Athens - I love being in Greece but returned to the UK for family reasons. I lived on the island of Zakynthos for a couple of years too. Naxos is the island that I fell in love with, and I spent many long summers in the Mani region, south of Kalamata, in the southern Peloponnese:-))))

I'm interested in Modern Greek Poetry, especially C.P. Cavafy and Yiannis Ritsos. I love literature generally- studied French Language and Literature at university:seeya:

Oh, I didn't know that it is forbitten to announce one's blog address. You see, I'm new here and I'm still trying to figure out how this forum works...

Γεια σου και πάλι! Φυσικά και μιλάω ελληνικά! Τι σόι greekspirit θα ήμουν αν δεν μιλούσα; χαχαχαχα

You do love Greece and travelling a lot, but you haven't come to my places... yet!!! Konstantinos Kavafis and Yiannis Ritsos are historical figures of Greek poetry. I'm not surprised that they are your favourite ones.

I'm not so into poetry, though. I prefer reading and writing fiction and novels. I have this blog, where you can find some stories of mine, but unfortunately I can't write the address in public... (!) When I manage to firure out how this forum works, maybe I could upload a few.
