Love Like A Python

Your eyes twine
pulling the cord tight
severed in strangulations.

Dangling
upon the edge
of your lips
feeling the heights
rushing up upon me.

Your body
is a mine field
to be traversed
with extreme care.

Never know when
alarm bells will sound
telling me it is time
to hit the floor.

Precariously
edging my way
around your dips
and dives which
may give way
in a landslide.

Halted
by a tremor
which ripples
through your hair.

Holding my breath
counting down
I await for it
to collapse
upon my head.

Your supple flesh relaxes
my breath exhales
for a moment warmth embraces
too late I realize
I have been mislead......
