So, I have never tried to write a thesis for a personal narrative, I just write, and it works and I get an A... But ohhhhh no My english professor wants an outline? exscuse me, I dont do outlines, they are constricting, I do them after my paper. And A thesis...see above.

Well if anyone has any tips on writing a personal narritive thesis I would appreicaite it.

I've never heard of a personal narrative thesis. A thesis for an essay, is a statement that describes the position that you are going to support on some subject matter. A narrative sounds more like a short story or a novel, and there isn't any thesis in that case.

Someone else asked a question about an outline. Do you want a general essay outline? That should apply to any type of subject. Is that what you need?

I've also never heard of creating a thesis for a personal narrative. The person above me, aquarium444, knows what he/she is talking about. I'd suggest that you ask your professor for clarification because this doesn't really make sense. You can form a thesis statement, but they are generally not used for narratives. I would suggest that you just write the paper and make the outline from that, if that's what works best for you.

Strategies and developmental issues surrounding the personal narrative can certainly be a topic of interest in a paper or feature length piece. Steph, AWP (http://www.awpwriter.org/magazine/) covers these writing issues at the academic level--and I am beginning to wonder why I knew all about these resources by my junior year in high school. What has happened to education levels in this country in the last quarter century?
