Wrote this one a while back as a bit of laugh...
***
the movie was okay
but i didn't have much to say
couldn't hear half the damn film anyway
cos these "tweens" were screaming
at the tops of little voices getting
boisterous when the boys on screen
would needlessly remove their shirts
but i guess thats just how the genre
and the phenomenon works... yes
i went to see 'new moon,, you know
one of those twlight films?
times were were slow on saturday afternoon
so my girlfriend and i decide
for some reason that the cinema
is better than bar and end up
facing a choice between disney's
latest animated 3D in your face
fairytale or a fairytale of a
different sort in the form of
'new moon' and i knew it was a risk
but, hey, she was buying the tickets
so i went with it... then i found myself
in the middle of a queue
seven miles long, inside the cinema,
and about then i realised that every
other guy in in my immediate sight
had the same dubious look and
panic in their eyes i guess we
all wondered if we was gonna survive
cos it seriously looked like there
was gonna be a stampede and i ain't
never been more nervous than
the day i winessed those tweens
hyped on e-numbers spurred on by the
sudden abundance of bare chest on screen
so as i was deafened by rising screams
i devoted serious attention to my means
of escape but twelve year old girls
had taken over the place
i knew i was at perillous risk
the arm of seat held my terrified grip
all i could think was
"please don't let me die watching this!"
