Wow... I am genuinely stunned by this piece Jermac... The pain, the longing, the beauty. It's so timeless and yet so fitting to all of us. How much do we notice people and wonder if they notice us? How much do we love people and wonder if they love us? How much do we know people yet never really know them? There's something incredibly heartbreaking in the juxtaposition of the she said/he said format and a great deal of poignancy and power in those closing and almost transcendent lines. I also sense a much deeper metaphor than the mere temporal one of two people; no, that's just the surface. There's undoubtedly a deeper theme running through this. I don't feel equipped to touch on it now since the piece has already moved me so much.

Thanks sincerely for this one, Jermac.

i agree with morpheus; i see a narrow relationship focus, yet a broader, panoramic lesson that escapes me. i do think that the lines after both 'speak!', are the most poetic.
