What is the world coming to when an automated forum software program is the only entity to gleefully remind me that I am 3 years from 50?
I myself had nearly forgotten, upon making note of my pressure sore condition after rolling off my mattress, which is just another instance of my body interfering with my will to succeed, even if it is also why an ereader can be an invaluable asset.
(Did we really need to know that?)

Happy birthday, Jozanny! I'm almost the same age as you - a few weeks older I think. My arithmetic was never too good. (((hugs))) and :bday_2: :bday_2:

Happy birthday Jozy. Age is just a number. I work on the basis that after the age of thirty you should be allowed to calculate your age by adding the two numbers together, which makes you 11! Hope you have a nice 11th birthday!

Oh my, and Janine even comes bearing gifts ;) If I can scrounge up a third wheel to make me look less than utterly forlorn, maybe we could meet for lunch one day Janine, and at least compare notes. My mother's sister's wayward in a not terrible way son is getting married in April, after having procreated, which seems to be the new American norm, and I probably have to go, doing my best not to get into a heated fight with my sis, then I am hoping to do the conference in SF, but I will tuck the notion in the back of my mind.
Fifth, I want to confer with you in a bit about my next Mitchell title to buy, at least when I dare allow myself a new title, as after having surfed his page at Amazon, I hesitate.
Thank you all, very kindly, though I may be a little short of breath on the candles....

Happy Birthday JoZ!
It seems we share more than a love for literature and a certain pugnaciousness. We're also the same age:blush:. In fact... it would seem that I'm actually 2 months older.
Party at JoZ's!!!

Happy Birthday, Jozanny! Hopefully, the day went excellently. It took me a while to come up with a good gift, but I think I've hit it. First I thought about giving you some original manuscripts of classic works:
http://www.thehistoryblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/old_books.jpg
but those were unobtainable, so I thought about a diamond-encrusted wheelchair:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_gZWGivX9xIo/SzD8ctaKUmI/AAAAAAAADEk/kMmCbPGuu3I/s400/DiamondWheelchair.jpg
That was a little out of my price range, and I'm not sure about the functionality or even safety of such a vehicle. So I settled on the fun-size candy I bought at the gas station and the quarter left over from the dollar:

Enjoy! (I'm probably going to need that quarter back at some point, though).

 I am loving Quark's most creative gift(s)....and he might want or need that quarter back eventually. Quark, you are too funny! Joz, you better befriend him; lots of laughs to come.
Jozanny, yes, we'll have to meet up someday in the future; I would like to see that diamond encrusted chair; you probably can only afford the shag rug underneath it. Not sure what notes we will compare; but, someday I probably will emerge from my winter cocoon, when the weather really warms up.

An interview with Jozanny:
Why are we doing this interview thing?
For fun, to annoy myself and yield to the sentiment that I belong to the LitNet family now, after all
Are you sure you want to do this?
Uh, yeah, why, are there consequences?
Are you male or female?
female
What is your name (if you don't mind sharing it with us)?
Joanne Marinelli

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
A mysterious warlock
If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
The First Time, by Roberta Flack
What makes you keep coming back to the Forum?
Primarily my mood disorder:lol:, but there are few communities elsewhere that are not geared toward a more specific focus.
It has been a year since the last interview. What have been the high and low points?
high point: the building renovations are over
low point: I am single again
The best and worst books you have read during last year?
Ouch, toughie. The best is The Turn of The Screw, by Henry James.
The worst: By Reason of Insanity by Randy Singer.
The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
That the building renovations were so bad. I mean it was worse than even I could have imagined, but I got through it.
Have you studied literature as a subject in college?
Yes, with a minor in creative writing and journalism.
Do you feel the divine spark of life within you or do you consider yourself a mechanical thing?
Well, when you put it that way I opt for the former:p
Do you have any pets? What are their names?
My cats, Joey and Vinnie. They will be four in March I think.
Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
A lioness

Make it to Italy and back in one piece.
Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
Which book are you reading at the moment?
The Damnation of Theron Ware, among others, but let's stick with that.
What type of an author would you be?
I actually am an author, so LitNet is lucky to have someone of my stature among its ranks. You may call me pompous.
The last book you finished reading?
The Great Impersonation
What are you wearing at the moment?
Nothing.
Favorite TV shows?
House
Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?

Why can't I be harder?
What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Balancing my checking account and my next writing project.
Last dream you remember having?
I was driving along a lane of fallen leaves, like back in my fieldword days.
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?
Fight with my mother.
If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
Hearing, because some peace and quiet would be nice.

I've reached acceptance.
How often do you tell lies?
Often
What gives your life meaning?
The best the fine arts have to offer.
