Look for the descriptions.

Wuthering Heights is set on a hilltop, exposed to the elements. It's barricaded almost by thorns and fir trees. Very desolate, not a 'friendly' place. Inside, the interior is very primitive. Wood carvings, oak, all quite dark and depressing. It fits in perfectly with its surroundings, the tyranny inside the house, the oppression, the violence.

Thrushcross Grange is the opposite. Cultured, beautiful decor, set within a park. It's more inhabitable than WH, and it represents the society that Victorians aspired to. Pale faced, money, social status. cultured, refined. This is everything Catherine is lured to believe she wants, and what she chooses over Heathcliff. Also, Catherine stays there for a long time when she has her accident, and it tames her. When she is at WH she is wild, free, individual but TG tames everything that made her feel alive. But it ultimately destroys her.

Just try and think more about those things; imagery, representation, etc.
