Probably, and I'm not saying you are, but it looks like you want us to do your homework for you. It's a persuasive speech so you need to take a side, either for or against it. What side are you taking? What are your thoughts to support your view point?

just because i feel nice today and i have done alot of research on the topic. You are very unclear in your request. if you are after reasons to be against it ill give you some..
It does not deter crime (states with high crime rates have capital punishment).
In many cases it can cost more than incarceration (appeals, lawyer fees, etc).
Capital punishment goes beyond our constitutional rights.(life, liberty and all the stuff)
Scott Turow wrote a good book called Ultimate Punishment which has alot of good information. i would start there

I'm not really sure what help it is that you want... It sounds like you need to research the topic and haven't done that yet. Here are a couple of links that might help. Also, you can Google either 'capital punishment' or 'death penalty.' Your local library will also have plenty of material, as will your school library. Always use a mix of sources, from print to internet. Most teachers don't really like Wikipedia, however.
