Hay guys... some of you must have see me around as rare as that maybe...
I am really getting to like short story writing, however I am starting to doubt myself. Nobody around me has any writing or reading experience, at least not to the point where I would ask for their honest opinion. So my doubt comes from there... I am not confident that the direction I am going is right and that what I think is my voice may actually be very inadequate. I hope I am getting myself across here. I feel like I am in the dark and am going way too fast.

How do you know where you stand?

I know how you feel. For about the first five or six years after I started writing, it was as if I was existing in a vacuum and writng in the dark, because there was no one I knew and no one around me who was into writng, or even reading for that matter. But I had faith in myself and felt a strong need to write, so I continued. Finally, after I started college and had been writing for a half-dozen years, I became acquainted and got to know other writers and other people who were interested in writng.
