High on craggy mountain spire
Bound fast to pillar of stone she stands alone
Sacrificial offering to appease the dragons wrath
Brave heart beating in heaving breast
Staring upward to meet her death
As dark speck in sky steadily grows filling her with visions
Of her own doom
Wheeling banking dropping from wind torn heavens
Wings back beating protesting air
Fierce dread beast alights
To half amazed stare
Eyes burning like orbs of fire
Catching her in his sight
Her form reflecting back from his gaze
Her mind reeling lost in a maze
Muscles rippling as the sun reflects from metallic scale
Sharp talons clicking upon stone like the drumming of hail
She stares into the mouth of approaching hell
Pausing before maid bound to stone
Stare meeting stare
The world frozen for an eternity as her life glides past
Only soft sigh of summer breeze hides her soft gasp
Lifting her long tresses upon the air
Nostrils flare as he taste her scent upon the breeze
Dragon rears back
Head held high she stares death in the eye
Let my fate redeem my people
Oh lord of wind and sky
Appeases your wrath take me now
I am ready to die
Almost amused fire drake
Studies her form then decision made
The beast speaks. To her dismay
If you are so willing to die why are you bound
To thy stone?
Do you not see my broken twisted body?
My kinsmen have bound me thus
In fear that I would betray the trust in oath spoken
To give all that I am my very soul if I must
I confess though I fear death as any mortal would

The firedrake then steps back lowering his head
As the chains part she thinks I am free
Her brain screams at her to flee
But heart commands her to stay

I am ready oh master of flame my life is yours do thy will
Feeling the heat from rumbling breast
She hears laughter instead of feeling death
Dear maiden your heart is as true as the words you speak
I release you from your fate

I offer you one wish for your honor and bravery
Oh master of wind and fire I have but one wish
Only one desire to be free of this broken body
To be quit of this prison of flesh and bone
I fear death is my only escape my only home
So be it you need only step into my flame

Inhaling deep dragon flame grows
Until it’s as if hells fire is about to explode
She stand tall and closing her eyes shambles forward
Before fear cheats her of final reward
Shock greets her as there's no pain
As she enters the crucible of dragons flame
Broken body burns and falls away
As her soul expands and grows in a magical way
Flame dies and ebbs away revealing her form remade this day
Come sweet maiden its time
Spreading wings with pounding heart she leaps into the air
Catching wind taking flight
side by side wing tip over lapping wing tip they fly into the comeing night
