Wonderful how you managed such a philosophical argument in such a graceful way. And the argument itself is strong.

I wonder what the laughter sounded like

What a provocative, evocative, enigmatic piece. I've read it 3 times and am still not entirely sure what to make of it. It's not that I can't grasp the central theme it's merely that the expression is so rich it seems to be expressing much more that's integral to that central theme. It's that 3rd stanza that really seems to expand the piece significantly. I haven't quite connected it fully to the rest. But I must say I really like it even if I'm failing to offer any significant criticism.
