Well I don't remember when was the last time I wrote a poem, I've never truly wrote a poem before just because I wanted to. I wrote a poem back in middle school and I completely forgot about it.

Today I really want to write poems, I really want to understand it. I don't know where to start or what to do. I understand that poetry has a rhythm called the iambic pentameter that makes it sound good (It's hard for me to see this rhythm), and I also know it has metaphors and similes.

Please correct what I am doing wrong and tell me what's the correct way to say this, I really don't know how to write it or how to structure it correctly. So please don't laugh at me, my future posts will continue to be like this until I get it all down and correct. So please continue to correct my errors and my problems, thanks.

All I've Known

All have fallen in the dark;
It engulfed them,
the quiet storm of chaos;
Not a single one pure,
too simply all gave up;
Weakened by the force mirroring opposites of heaven;
Only an angels heart blessed,
is left to stay pure.

Everyone who posts here has posted "bad"poems. So post and have fun and don't take things too seriously.

All I would say is have a definite subject in mind and find a rhythm within yourself
